Tinnitus Pilot Study

Testing a low-cost, repurposed therapy for a condition that has few good options

Tinnitus is the persistent ringing, buzzing, or hissing in the ears that affects millions of people. For some patients, especially those recovering from complex post-viral conditions, it can be stubborn, disruptive, and difficult to treat. The study includes patients with refractory tinnitus. The goal is to assess safety, feasibility, and early efficacy signal using a low-cost, repurposed, DMSO-based dual-route therapy.

This project is a direct example of how Rebuild Medicine works. A clinician brought forward a credible idea for a neglected patient population. RM reviewed the science, the study design, the oversight structure, and the researcher’s qualifications. Then RM funded the first step.

Not every early-stage project will succeed. But when a project produces a meaningful signal, it can become the foundation for larger trials, institutional partnerships, and mainstream attention. Someone has to fund the first step. That is what Rebuild Medicine is here to do.

It's time to get politics out of healthcare, restore trust, and rebuild medicine.
